England and Manchester United Defender, Rio Ferdinand created White Chalk Music with business partner and longtime school buddy Courtney Richardson.
Coming from an urban background, they empathise with the plight that
faces young people, especially those who have potential talent but have
no where to take it. Rio attended all the White Chalk Music events, auditions,
rehearsals and pre-production meetings.
“
I suppose I was one of the lucky ones because I had strong support and
love from my parents and family and some good people around me. I want
to be there to give them as much love, help and encouragement as I can.
If I, a young black youth from Peckham can make it anybody can”.

Young people from the age of 10 - 25 attended heats throughout the
UK to compete in the final held in Manchester. There were two categories
on the evening, for those aged ten to eighteen, and those aged nineteen
to twenty-five years.
Bellagio Time was pleased to present watches to all contestants in
both categories, in recognition of their achievement in reaching
the final.
