The concept of The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) was conceived in 1985 by a small group of volunteers. Based within ten acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside, The Children's Adventure Farm Trust is a haven for hundreds of disabled and disadvantaged children.
Their aim is to provide special holidays for special children. Groups
of children, average age 4 - 14, and their carers, visit The Farm for
a free weeklong holiday. The Charity offers free adventure breaks and
activities to children who are disadvantaged by illness, disability and
poverty, from all over the Northwest.
The centrally heated accommodation comprises of 4 bedrooms each with
4 single beds and one staff room (to accommodate carers) with 2 beds,
fridge, medical cabinet, TV and phone. Each floor has a large bathroom.
On the ground floor there is a fully fitted kitchen, large dining room.
The large lounge has a music centre, TV and DVD player. The lounge leads
on to a conservatory. All rooms are homely and comfortable, in keeping
with the character of a 17th century farmhouse. The house is available
for hire at certain times of the year.
This year’s Annual Grand Ball was highly successful, and raised £120,000
towards the upkeep of The Farm, and its facilities.
Bellagio Time Foundation was pleased to donate a 2.1ct diamond timepiece
to the auction at this event, which raised £2,000.
