The Elizabeth Hardie Ferguson Charitable Trust Fund was founded by Sir Alex Ferguson and is dedicated to the memory of his mother. The Trust acts as a fund raising body and distributes all proceeds to deserving causes within the United Kingdom.
Many groups have already benefited greatly from the Trust Fund; especially
those connected to the welfare and well being of children and young people.
The Trust also actively supports charities involved in medical research
and in hospitals where medical equipment is needed.
Typical examples of groups who have benefited are: Harmony Row and Govan
Initiative: a major project bringing community life back to the heart
of the Govan district of Glasgow. This project is close to Alex's heart,
Govan being his birth place.
Francis House:
a hospice for terminally ill children and based in Manchester.
Action For Kids:
a charity that provides mobility aids to disabled children as well as providing family support and independence training.
The Children's Adventure Farm:
a local charity providing breaks and activities for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.
